Name: Lynne Mason
Age: 30 - Something
Race Leg: 5) 'The Raft Ride Home' - Fifth Leg - 26km
Lynne has had to withdraw from the race due to a severe hand injury. Heather has taken over her leg of the race. Our back up runner, Sean has agreed to take on Leg one of the race for us. Lynne remains actively involved with S.L.A.P.
Brief Background: Originally from Nottinghamshire UK, Lynne moved to Alberta with her family in November 2004. She is a full time Mother of three boys and has several Alaskan Malamutes.
Although Lynne has always enjoyed sports and outdoor activities she has never run a race of this caliber before. She was part of Kim's support crew for the 2005 Canadian Death Race so has a good insight into the kind of terrain the runners can expect to be faced with.
Hobbies: Lynne enjoys Skiing, horse riding, reading and relaxing on the weekend with family and close friends.
Quote: "Taking part in The Canadian Death Race will be, by far one of the hardest things I will do in my life. I am terrified of letting my team mates and the shelter down. I plan of giving it my best shot, as long as I don't get kidnapped by a bear or eaten by a cougar! LOL."
